Awn Ni Am Aur
Y Senedd have been discussing our school's behaviour policy and considering the following:
-Do all classes have an understanding of our rewards and sanctions and the process they follow?
- What are the current rewards for Gold and Silver awards?
-Could they be improved?
-What ideas do we have?
-How can we make sure all pupils have an opportunity to make suggestions and improvements?
Y Senedd wrote persuasive pitches, thinking about possible improvements that could be made.

We are the School Council for St Philip Evans Catholic Primary School. Our role is to make our school a friendlier, safer and happier environment, even though it is one of the best schools in Cardiff! We have decided we want to be different from, do more than, and stand out from previous School Councils.
At St Philip Evans, we believe it is important for pupils to take ownership of their learning and have greater roles in school decision-making. We provide many opportunities for children to learn to be ethically, informed citizens of Wales and the World. Pupils have opportunities to play a role in making the decisions that affect them. We recognise that pupils have logical perspectives and opinions on issues that matter in the classroom, in the school and in the community. We give pupils an active role in influencing decisions about these issues as well as in the implementation of these decisions.
Our School Council is made up of elected representatives of pupils from Years 2 through to Year 6.
The children elect a representative for each class by holding a ballot during the Autumn Term.
What we do :
Improve Our curriculum because we are ambitious, capable learners.
Improve Our Wellbeing because we are healthy, confident contributors.
Improve Our responsibilities because we are ethically, informed citizens.
