Our Catholic Life

Reception/Year 1 Class Assembly

“Jesus died on the cross, but God his father gave him new life.”

The parable of the Mustard Seed.

We have learnt how God helps us to grow by listening to the parable of the Mustard Seed and pretending to be tiny seeds that grow into huge trees! 🌴🌳🌲

We talked about how the parish family gather together at Mass.

The lectern is the place where the priest reads the Gospel which is a book of the stories about Jesus.

At Mass, we have bread and wine which is Jesus’ body and his blood.

When the priest says the words, “The Lord is with you.” We respond, “And with your spirit.”

The Good Samaritan

We listened to, talked about and sequenced the story of The Good Samaritan.

Role playing the Nativity Story.

Advent Gweddiwn

It is Advent. We are getting ready for Christmas.

We created our own Christingles.
Each part of the Christingle has a special meaning.

The orange represents the world.🌍

The red ribbon represents the love and blood of Christ. 🩸
The four sticks represent the seasons of the year. ❄️🌼🌻🍂
The sweets and dried fruit represent all of God's creations. 🌸🌈🍀

The candle represents that Jesus is the light of the world. ✝️

“Thank you for the wonder of who I am.” Psalm 139:14
