Homework 24/11 

As our topic is about recycling. We want you to find out about things that are made from recycled materials.

You could look at items in your home and read the labels to see what they are made from often some clothing, bags for life, bottles are made from recycled materials.

You could also research this and find some products and companies that are proud to use recycled materials to make their items. Create a poster, or a pic collage or a slides to share what you have found out. You could also choose to make something yourself out of what is in your recycling to recycle these materials.

Prayers for All Souls 

As November is the month for All Souls, we have been remembering people who are important to us.

We would like you to write your own prayer for All Souls and decorate it so we can put it in our Year 4 prayer book or you could choose to write and decorate your own Eternal Rest prayer 

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.

This week we have been starting our new inquiry. We have been thinking about the big question "Where does the rubbish go?"

For your homework we would like you to find out about recycling at home. Look at the different types of bins you have at home. Think about the following questions: 

What goes in each bin?

Where does it go?

Why should we recycle? 

What happens if we don't recycle?

Complete this either as slides on Google Slides or as a poster or an information leaflet.

This week in our RE learning we have been focusing on the word "Welcome". We have been looking at our school and finding out about how it is a welcoming place. For your homework we want you to create some work around this idea of welcoming someone new. You can choose how you want to present your work. You could: create a google slides to welcome someone new, write a new pupil a welcome letter, create a welcome poster, or create some welcoming artwork.

Homework on Google Classroom 20th October

In school, we have been looking at the book Flood. We will be writing our own story to go with the pictures next week as it is a wordless book.

We would like you to look at the pictures and plan some ideas for the story that go with each section of the book. 

Be creative

Use adjectives ( describing words) to describe the weather

Use time connectives to show the passing of time eg: some time later, after that, the next morning, all of a sudden

Use speech - What are the characters saying to each other.
