11.12.20 Homework
For homework this week, please count the winter themed items and write the amount next to the row. Choose your challenge: some children will need adult support to form the numbers, some will be able to copy or trace them and some will be able to write them independently.
27.11.20 Homework
Our context for learning is 'The Land of Ice and Snow'. For homework this week, please can you make marks to try and draw or write things that are cold. When we do this in school, the children mark the paper and then the adults write what the marks mean.

This week has been anti-bullying week and in Nursery we have been focussing on being a kind friend. For homework, please have a chat about the following questions: How can you be a kind friend? How are your friends kind to you? Then draw or paint a picture in your homework book of you and a friend / your friends from Nursery.
13.11.20 Homework
In Read Write Inc, we have been focussing on the letter sound 'm'. We say this sound like this 'mmmmm'. For homework, please practise writing and saying the sound 'm'.
Challenge: Can you draw objects, places or names that start with the letter sound 'm'?
06.11.20 Homework
Our context for learning topic this term is 'The Land of Ice and Snow'. We will be developing our knowledge and skills with all of our learning based on this theme. For homework this week, please can you email us a photo of you eating your favourite cold food and another photo of you eating your favourite hot food.

This week in school has been Thinking About Our World Week. In Nursery, we have focussed on Wales. We talked about how we all live in Wales. Where is your favourite place? What makes it so special to you?
12.10.20 Homework
In Nursery, we have been practising making the Sign of the Cross before we say our prayers to God. For homework, we would like you to use the guide in your homework book to help you to learn how to make the Sign of the Cross correctly.

In Nursery, we have been looking after a special dog called Waffle. Can you draw a picture of Waffle? Can you explain to Waffle the rules we have in Nursery? We have kind hands, kind feet, kind words and kind hearts. (You don't have to write the rules, just have a chat about them please).
02.10.20 Homework
Every single day in Nursery, we count in 1s from 0 to 10 and then backwards again (we always do a 'blast off!' when we get back to 0. For homework this week, please see the number formation sheet in your homework book. Can you read and write the numbers? Challenge: Can you write the numbers on your own?

We have been exploring making marks using lots of different tools. Please use the mark making template in your homework book to show your family what you can do. Can you make your own marks on the next page of your homework book?

Our context for learning this half term is ‘Happy Families’. Please draw a picture of your family in your homework book.

Please bring a photograph of your family in to school. We will talk about our families and display our photos in the nursery classroom.
