FRIDAY 11th December - Jolly Christmas Jumper day. Wear your own festive jumper, and bring in £1 to help us support Tenovus Cancer Care
Task 1 - What is your Advent promise? create an Adobe Spark (collage) poster (on Hwb) to show the signs and symbols of Advent. Insert text to explain why Advent is the most important season of the church's year. Insert your own Advent promise linked to the gifts you will share during this time. Which colour will you need to include in your poster?

Task 1 - What are the causes and effects of flooding?
Draft a short speech/response linked to the causes and effects of flooding. Then use the link on google classroom to record your own flipgrid oracy video response (you may need the flipgrid app > use your hwb (google) login info)
In your speech, talk about the following Qs:
- What causes flooding? - Where does water come from? - How can flooding be prevented? - What can we do to protect our homes?

Task 1 - Your Perfect World!
To celebrate World Children's Day, we would like to hear your create your own perfect world. We know that this year has been a little tricky but we would like you to imagine your own perfect world.
We would love for you to let your imagination run wild, to reimagine the world. Here are some ideas that may help you: - A greener and more sustainable world (linked to the Global Goals) - A future of well being and happiness - A future where everyone is equally (linked to your rights)
You can either create a FlipGrid video, slides or draw/create your perfect world and upload a picture to Google Classroom.

Use the link (in the google classroom instructions) to open Flipgrid (hwb login - google account) and record your speech about why recycling is important. We have been learning about how to convey our opinions using clarity and precision this week. This homework task will help you with your learning next week.

As a healthy school, all children are encouraged to bring a clean water bottle to school every day. Children keep their bottle with them throughout the entire school day, and are made aware of the importance of staying hydrated, while making sure they fill up their bottles as needed (e.g. during break, lunch etc)

St Philip Evans was born during the Stuart period. To celebrate his life, sketch a portrait of our school saint on paper at home. Add key words, colourful bubble writing, facts and images linked to Philip Evans' life (e.g harp, tennis, black tower, school badge). Visit the google classroom assignment for images and information to help you. Take a photo of your finished work, and add/upload it to the assignment area.
