Task 1 - What are the causes and effects of flooding?

 

Draft a short speech/response linked to the causes and effects of flooding.  Then use the link on google classroom to record your own flipgrid oracy video response (you may need the flipgrid app > use your hwb (google) login info) 

 

In your speech, talk about the following Qs:

 

- What causes flooding?

- Where does water come from? 

- How can flooding be prevented?

- What can we do to protect our homes?

To celebrate World Children's Day, we would like to hear your create your own perfect world. We know that this year has been a little tricky but we would like you to imagine your own perfect world. 

 

We would love for you to let your imagination run wild, to reimagine the world. Here are some ideas that may help you:

- A greener and more sustainable world (linked to the Global Goals) 

- A future of well being and happiness 

- A future where everyone is equally (linked to your rights) 

 

 

You can either create a FlipGrid video, slides or draw/create your perfect world and upload a picture to Google Classroom.

As a healthy school, all children are encouraged to bring a clean water bottle to school every day.  Children keep their bottle with them throughout the entire school day, and are made aware of the importance of staying hydrated, while making sure they fill up their bottles as needed (e.g. during break, lunch etc)

 

 

Task 1 - Context - The Stuarts - St Philip Evans: Our School Saint
