St Philip Evans - Our Patron Saint
The 40 Martyrs of Wales and England
October 25th is the Feast Day of the 40 Martyrs of Wales and England.
This is a very special day for us. The Martyrs are special men and women who were killed because they were Catholics and either said Mass (if they were priests) or were caught attending Mass.
When parliaments, kings and queens throughout history turned against the Catholic religion and made it a crime to attend Mass these people risked their lives to keep our religion alive.
Our Patron Saint: Saint Philip Evans was a Martyr. We are proud to know that our school is named after such a brave courageous priest.
