Homework: Next week is 'Fairtrade week'. This is an important week in the Catholic Life of our School as supporting Fairtrade is part of our Faith in Action.

In your purple books draw and design a 'Fairtrade Shopping Basket'. 

What foods can you put in a Fair Trade Shopping Basket? Please research Fair trade foods that can be put into the basket. To help you find the correct foods for your basket, you must make sure the Fairtrade logo as shown above.

Some examples are:

Bananas, Cadbury's Dairy Milk chocolate, Coffee etc.

To celebrate Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 11th February, create one of the following:

Homework: Please help your child to create a riddle. Use the worksheet (My first Riddle) that is loose inside the purple homework book. The children can decide what they'd like their riddle to be about. The best riddles will be selected to enter a competition. The winner of the competition will get their riddles published in a children poetry book. In order for the entries to be used, the children will have to have written the riddle themselves (with your support).

Homework: Next week we start our new Jigsaw topic, 'Celebrating Differences'. The first part of our learning will look at the things we are good at and celebrating that we are all good at something but these will differ between each person. Please can you bring something in that shows something your child is good at. This could be a sporting achievement medal, certificate, an award, a swimming badge, a photograph etc. The children will be expected to talk about the item they bring in and explain what they are good at.
