Homework Friday 25th November

HOMEWORK IS DUE EVERY WEDNESDAY

Children have all received books to take home to complete weekly homework and spellings. 

Dark Blue- Homework

Yellow- Weekly spelling practise

 

Instructions:

This Sunday is the First Sunday of Advent. This week we would like you to write an Advent Promise in your Blue Homework books. Read the Advent Promise Information slides below to help write your promises. Add pictures to your promises with the Advent wreath and the different candles.

Think about how you are preparing yourself for the coming of Jesus.

 

To complete also:

Mathletics (see assigned activities)

Bug Club (read through assigned books)

In celebration of Wales taking part in the 2022 football World Cup, we would like you to have the opportunity to celebrate this by completing a World Cup linked homework. All details are listed on the document titled 'HW World Cup 2022' below. Children are free to choose from any of the tasks listed. Please choose one task to complete.

Children are to complete Mathletics tasks and Bug Club reading.

Your child will need to log on to Google classroom through their HWB where they will find their tasks to complete.

Please complete any work from Google Classroom on paper at home.

Children have all received books to take home to complete weekly spellings. Children do not need their dark blue homework books this week, so they have been kept in school.

 

Instructions:

This week, we would like you to read through an agreement about school technology safety. We want all children to be safe using technology at St Philip Evans, so we would like you to read through this with an adult at home. Once this has been submitted on Wednesday, we will have a class discussion about why this is important.

These are questions that we have been covering this half term in maths. 

We would like you also to sing along to Mr Urdd songs ready for the Jambori on the 10th when we return back to school!

Urdd Jambori - Cwpan o Byd (28.10.22)

On Thursday 10th November, we will be participating in Yr Urdd’s Cwpan y Byd Jambori. Children in years 2 to 6 will be joining in with 1000 other schools in Wales to sing along to Yma o Hyd in celebration of the World Cup. This will then be broadcast on TV on ‘Stwnsh Sadwrn’ on Saturday 19th November on S4C and available on their YouTube Channel.

Over half term, please have a go at practising the Yma o Hyd song. If you visit the website, you can also see the words spelt phonetically and learn some of the other songs too. https://jambori.urdd.cymru/

This week, we would like you to be creative by drawing/painting/sketching a picture of Mary, Jesus' mother. During the month of October, we remember Mary Our Mother especially and we pray the rosary. Take inspiration from the examples of art work document below.

 

We would like your art work to include the following:

1) The rosary

2) The Hail Mary

2) Jesus as a baby/ young boy

3) The colour blue 

Please complete this work on paper and bring it into class so we can add it to our 

class altar display.
