The first event of the year organised by the Fairtrade Committee was the Fairtrade Bakesale.  The committee worked hard to organise the event, including the cake competition!  Our sincere thanks to Mrs Powling also who brought the winning design to life, baking an amazing cake for the raffle.

At the Bakesale, the children in the Fairtrade Committee proved themselves to be excellent representatives of our school and exhibited their excellent sales skills through talking politely to the customers and calculating totals and changes – well done!

The raffle was drawn by the children of the committee and the winner of the Fairtrade Birthday Cake was Leona (Year 3) – Congratulations Leona!

The bakesale was successful in both raising awareness of Fairtrade and raising money – a total of £109.10 was raised.  Fantastic!  A huge thank you to all who supported the event by donating cakes, buying raffle tickets and to those who joined us at the Bake Sale.
