Reminders for children and parents : - Please remember that as a healthy school, children must only bring fruit or vegetables as a snack for break times. Fruit can be purchased for 30p per day. - ALL items of clothing need to be clearly labelled. Children must be responsible for their belongings during the school day. - Class bottles for water must be clear or partially see-through. Children can bring squash/juices to drink with their lunches but will need water only during lesson time. - Children are not to wear jewellery (bracelets, necklaces or smartwatches) to school or oversized/novelty headbands. On PE days small stud earrings will need to be removed or covered with medical tape.
For children who still do not have a bookbag, please contact our school office to purchase a new one. It is really important children come to school ready to learn every day with their reading books and records inside.

Homework task 1. - Global Goal 13 - Climate Action Your homework task this week is to research the flooding in Bangladesh and look at the steps that have been taken in order to tackle flooding. Think about these key questions: -What is climate change? -What are floods? -How are the people in Bangladesh trying to combat this issue? -How does this compare to climate change issues in Wales? -What could you do to help?
You can create a poster, make an information leaflet or make your own slides about the climate issue. More information can be found on our Google Classroom area.

Homework task 1 - The Plague village posters - Beware! It is 1665 - Create your own village poster warning the people of Glamorganshire (South Wales) to watch out for the signs & symptoms of 'The Black Death' spreading from London. You might want to include a plague doctor, and design a poster that catches the eyes of the villagers.
