Blwyddyn 6 - 2023/2024
Homework: 15/09/23
This week, pupils have enjoyed reading an unprecedented book in which Pope Francis answers letters of children from around the globe.
Homework: If you could ask Pope Francis one question, what would it be?
Children have questions and struggles just like adults, but rarely are they given the change to voice their concerns and ask the big questions. This is an opportunity for pupils to send questions to the Pope in anticipation of a response from the Vatican. You may wish to illustrate your question like the example above. The most thoughtful questions will be sent to Pope Francis.
We would like you to write a letter to Pope Francis using Google docs and submit your work to Google Classroom.

Dorothy (talking to Toto): Well this is getting us nowhere. What's the matter? Are you frightened of the scarecrow? You mustn't worry about scarecrows: they're not real.
Scarecrow: Maybe not where you're from.
*Dorothy screams and jumps back.*
Scarecrow: I'm so sorry. Please don't be frightened. Oh, if only I had a brain I would have known not to scare you so. What a silly scarecrow I am!
Dorothy: Um... not at all: you just caught me by surprise, that's all.
Scarecrow: It was very inconsiderate of me. No wonder I'm stuffed with straw and stuck up on a pole after thoughtless behaviour like that.
Dorothy: Don't you like being a scarecrow?
Scarecrow: Not in the slightest. I'm not even very good at it. One day soon I'm sure I'll be taken down and thrown on the bonfire.
