A message from the School's Admissions Officer: 

 

Good Afternoon, 

 

As you know we opened the applications today for Secondary Yr 7 places, September 2021.

 

In an effort to engage with those that have difficulty with the application process we have developed “child friendly” materials to support positive engagement.  The aim is to support applications being submitted on time and the inclusion of as many school preferences as possible (maximum 5), to ensure a preference school is offered in the first round.

 

We have produced a booklet with “7 Tips to Apply”, a short animation video and posters. The booklet and animation is currently on the website and a media campaign has launched today. 

 

The booklet  and posters will be distributed shortly across all Primary Schools for all Year 6 pupils, and we will also have these materials available in the HUBS and other community outlets.

 

The items, including the video,  will be available in 7 languages on the website (in addition to English and Welsh) the languages are:

 

Arabic, Bengali, Czech, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Somali.
