Learning Experiences

Our Changing World

In Year 5 we are learning about how our world is changing. Is it changing too quickly?

To begin with, we gathered knowledge about the earths features. We found out about the equator, longitude and latitude, times zones and climate regions.

We then began to find out more about global warming and specifically climate change. We found out what is causing this, what the effects are on places and people.

Furthermore, we then looked more deeply into how this is affecting developing countries, human settlement patterns and trade around the world.

Following on from this we then thought about solutions and who has the power to do more. It is just world leaders or can we play our part too?
