Task 2: Make your own map!
Can you make a map of either your local area (e.g. Llanedeyrn), Cardiff or Wales? You can use whatever format / materials you wish [e.g. paper, pencils, felt tips, paint, collage, ICT, using chalk outside etc]. Can you make a key explaining what the symbols on your map are?
Top Tip: use Google Earth or Google Maps to remind you of local landmarks and have fun exploring your local area using satellite technology.
🌶 Challenge: can you take a photo of your map, then upload the photo on to Seesaw and use the 🎤 microphone icon to record an explanation of your map’s key? Miss Morris and Mrs Vella eagerly await your work!
🌶 🌶 Writing Extension (optional): can you write instructions on how to make a map? Make sure you include ordering words and bossy verbs! Can you include diagrams in your instructions?
