VE Day Prayers
Our heavenly Father,
We thank you for protecting us and our country through all of the difficult situations that we have faced.
We pledge to serve you and our country bravely and heroically and fight for the freedom before us.
We shall never forget those who fought for us.
We hope to become like them one day and stand strong in our faith.
Send down the Holy Spirit to give us courage and wisdom so that we may not fall into the temptations of sin and walk along the wrong path.
Amen.
Alfie
Dear God,
Let us give thanks to the brave soldiers who gave away their lives for us to live in a wonderful country.
We will pray everyday and night and wish them a good life in heaven.
May no soldier walk alone .
May no soldier be forgotten.
May no soldier be left behind when returning home.
Amen.
Andreas
Lord God,
Please protect the people that fight for us because they might be very injured.
Please take care of them and heal them when they are hurt.
Give them lots of courage to make them survive and come home safely.
Please also help the other victims who have suffered from hunger, anxiety or different injuries so they can find your love and a renewed faith.
Amen.
Sara
Dear God,
We pray for those who died during World War II. We pray for the soldiers who have helped the nations and who have tried their best to save their families. May they rest in peace.
Amen.

VE Day Poems - Kira and Jacob
MY POEM ON VE DAY
VE day is Victory In Europe Day for the people who survived and won the war for their country.
Everyone who died for us are honoured because they died fighting for their country, they are honoured
Dying for your country, isn’t nice but it’s a good cause if that does happen, people are sad but happy because they can take their chance to advance.
All I the wars are sad but happy for their country, they always are proud for it, but they always loved their country.
You are all honoured for your deaths, and our country is proud to stand away from another war, out in the wild still stands the honoured soldiers.

Kira's Mythical Creature
Kira also wrote a fantastic poem about the Tooth Fairy:
The tooth fairy has a long beautiful dress
The tooth fairy has long wavy hair
The tooth fairy has very pretty shoes
The tooth fairy has sparkly wings
Her wand is magical
It has powerful spells
It is very shiny and colourful
It is always with the tooth fairy
The tooth fairy collects fallen teeth
The tooth fairy leaves the children a gift
The tooth fairy flies in whilst your sleeping
The tooth fairy is a quiet as a mouse
She leaves a message:
Clean those teeth
Look after those teeth
I like shinny teeth
I don’t like dirty teeth
Now I'm going back to my castle
Sleep tight, see you next time you lose a tooth.
