  The Pupil Deprivation Grant

  Each year the Welsh Government allocate a specified amount of money for schools to help improve attainment

  for pupils from deprived backgrounds, specifically those who are eFSM.

  At St Philip Evans we use our PGD funding to...

•   Run Intervention Programmes
•   Contribute to costs of enrichment experiences
•   Support Learning Clubs and after school provision.
•   Enhance curriculum experiences through helping to subsidise educational visits.

  We monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of our provision.

  Plans for the PDG are integrated into our School Improvement Plan as our strategies form part of our whole school

  drive to  raise standards and meet the needs of all learners.

  The provision of these whole school strategies and targeted interventions ensure that every eFSM

  learner benefits as an individual. The school as a whole improves its capacity to support all learners to reach their

  full potential.
