Croeso i Blwyddyn 6

At St Philip Evans the four purposes of the new curriculum for Wales are at driving force of our teaching and learning.  Through a broad and balanced curriculum, we enable all pupils to be:

* Ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout their lives

* Enterprising, creative contributors ready to play a full part in life and work

* Ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world

* Healthy, confident individuals ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society

This year the class teachers are Mrs Davies (6LD) and Miss Davies(6KD).

Keep up to date by following our school Twitter account, and sign up to the Schoop app for daily information.

Homework

Your homework over the holidays is to carry out research into World War 2, specifically looking at evacuation and the causes and effects of World War 2 on children in Wales. You can present your research how ever you wish, and use Google Classrooms if you would like to.

We would also like you to create a thinking hat to wear linked to World War 2 for our Context for Learning immersion day which will take place during the first half term in Year 6.

This is homework is due in on the first Wednesday of the new term.
